If you live in Australia and want to stop companies from destroying the video games you bought, a petition has opened in the Parliament of Australia. Sign it now! You only have 28 days. https://www.aph.gov.au/e-petitions/petition/EN6080 There's only one problem: Someone messed up the petition and made it about all software. This reduces the chances of the government of actually approving it. Sign it anyways! Ross Scott is going to try his best to make sure the Australian government knows it's only about video games. If you're in the UK, sign this petition: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/659071. It's open until October, and they need 100,000 signatures. AI is Already Dead

Before you correct me: No, AI is not dead right this second, but its future has been sealed. I got most of the information for this journal from Ed Zitron. Links at the bottom. Reminding you what AI is First of all, it is critically important to get this out of the way: When I say AI, I mean the current generation of Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative Neural Networks: GPT, Google Gemini, Stable Diffusion and Dall-E. I'll be calling them LLMs from now on. If you're going to tell me "AI" is doing cool and valuable stuff, make sure you aren't lumping those LLMs in with actually useful AI technologies, like analytical neural networks or heuristic search trees. AI works well when used in the right place, time and way. With that out of the way, let's get to killing the AI. Hallucinations First of all, we can't ignore the obvious problem with these machines: The LLMs make mistakes. Image generators keep failing to count how many fingers a hand has, or how hair works. What tools do you use to make the svg based interactive animatoon?

Unfortunately, the tool was never made public, so I can't give you a link to it. It was also way harder to use than Flash was and had way fewer features.


If I planned to make SVG animations today, I'd just build a new tool myself. You could do that, too. Just start with JavaScript and the SVG reference.
